The Registered Dietitian provides evidence-based nutrition assessments, treatment, and education for individuals and groups across their lifespan. The role involves working within an interdisciplinary team to support primary health care and community development.
Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in Foods and Nutrition and current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Three to five years of clinical counselling and community nutrition experience is considered an asset.
The North Lambton Community Health Centre is a community governed health centre serving identified priority populations in a defined catchment area. The Centre operates multiple sites in Ontario: Forest, Kettle & Stony Point, Watford, and Sarnia. Our interdisciplinary team provides primary health care, health promotion and community development services.
Registered Dietitian Permanent – Sarnia Site 0.6 FTE – 22.5 hours per week
The Registered Dietitian provides evidence-based nutrition assessments, treatment, and education for individuals and groups across the lifespan.
Undergraduate Degree in Foods and Nutrition from a recognized university. Possess current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (temporary licenses will also be considered). Three to five years clinical counselling and community nutrition experience, an asset. Demonstrated skills in facilitating groups, team skills, and effective communication. Demonstrated knowledge of community-based health care and the determinants of health. Proficiency in French is considered an asset. The rate of pay for this position is $42,839 - $50,880 annually (on a six-step grid). The rate of pay offered will be based on experience and education. Medical benefits, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and paid vacation are included. Flexible hours of work are required. The incumbent will primarily work at the Sarnia location but may be required to travel to all locations, as needed.
