Job Summary As a Clinical Counsellor at Foundry Penticton, you will provide intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention services to people facing challenges, including social, psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues.
This role is central to creating supportive and trusting relationships that reduce risk and promote positive choices.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions and facilitate best practices such as the stepped model of care, trauma-informed approaches, harm reduction, and culturally safe services.
The position requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a commitment to integrated, client-centered care in a dynamic environment.
and Experience Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Registration (or eligibility) with a recognized professional body. Experience providing counseling to youth and families using evidence-based approaches. Experienced in the use of screening and comprehensive assessments for mental health, substance use, suicide and high-risk behaviors using standardized frameworks and tools. Strong knowledge of community resources and collaborative care models. Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. Required Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with harm reduction practices. Valid First Aid Certificate (with CPR) Successful completion of: criminal record check professional references Valid BC Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and clean driver’s abstract. Adherence to organizational policies, confidentiality agreements, and Code of Ethics. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
