Under the supervision of Care Coordinators and Team Leaders, the Health Unit Clerk supports the interdisciplinary healthcare team by coordinating resident admissions, processing physician orders, maintaining resident records, preparing clinical documentation, and ensuring effective communication within the team. Key Responsibilities:
Process and transcribe physician orders accurately and maintain clinical documentation.
Manage resident admissions, including preparation of admission packages and resident records.
Maintain and update MARs, TARs, charts, care records, and other clinical documentation.
Coordinate appointments, laboratory requisitions, and resident information updates.
Support communication among physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy, allied health professionals, residents, and families.
Ensure resident records are accurate, organized, confidential, and up to date.
Prepare reports, maintain tracking systems, and provide administrative support to the care team.
