Home Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide in-home assistance to clients in Hartland, MI. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help with mobility and transferring, ensuring client safety at all times
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
• Assist with medication reminders and adherence under supervision
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care or related field is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions carefully
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
• Ability to pass background checks and meet state requirements for caregiving
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation plus
