Perform professional assessments and provide clinical support services to callers via a 24/7 contact centre. Process home care nursing referrals and provide after-hours clinical problem-solving assistance to home care nurses.
Requires a graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program with 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical experience in a community setting. Must maintain registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and possess current CPR training.

Position Overview Answers calls 24 hours/day, 7 days/week performing assessments and providing clinical support services.
Experience A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant clinical experience in a community setting required. Previous related work experience in Home Care environment an asset. Experience working in a protocol driven environment.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
and Skills Fluency in English required, in French desired, and other languages an asset. Computer skills required. Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and advanced triage and assessment skills required. Ability to quickly establish good rapport with callers, while accepting limitations, setting and maintaining boundaries needed. Must display a non-judgmental, caring and supportive attitude and understand the reality of being an ambassador for the WRHA, Misericordia Health Centre, the PHCC and the nursing profession.
