Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager(s) of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of patient care within the Pediatric Hemodialysis unit. This will include supporting and administration of hemodialysis therapy, administration of day medicine infusions, and providing clinical support of other acute care pediatric areas when needed.

Human Resources Exemption: No

  • Experience
  • Previous experience in acute care pediatric nursing is preferred
  • Two (2) years experience in Acute Care
  • Experience in hemodialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy is an asset
  • Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Other Education and Training
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Care of the Patient with Kidney Disease training
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a nursing diploma and registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan. Two years of acute care experience is required, with pediatric and hemodialysis experience preferred.
