Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing with a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner designation and registration with the CRNS. Candidates must have five years of RN experience, including three years in pediatric oncology, palliative care, or medical complexity.

The Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience specializing in pediatric hematology oncology. This nurse practitioner will work within the greater hematology oncology team to assess patients, coordinate care and support patients and families in relation to their care journey, including preventative care, diagnostics, procedures and treatments, medication and more. The NP works collaboratively to build care pathways for each individual child and their family, utilizing a network of resources across the SHAs Pediatric Hematology Oncology Program. They will provide expert clinical care within the interdisciplinary oncology team within both inpatient and outpatient settings.
