Forensic Program Support Worker

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) University or College education in human services, other related disciplines, or high school diploma and related training. Knowledge and an acceptable level of expertise in the risk factors associated with risk to self and/or others, crisis intervention, service coordination and community consultation. Able to use problem resolution skills to handle sensitive and complex issues related to multiple service involvement and interdisciplinary teams within the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Requires a valid driver's license and a vehicle.

Qualifications

and Skills Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization and decision-making skills. Knowledge of and experience in working with individuals involved within the Forensic Mental Health System and the Criminal Justice System. Demonstrated skills and competence to establish supportive, trusting relationships with stakeholders. Skills in assessing, planning, development and coordination of services related to involvement with the Forensic System, the Criminal Justice System and recovery. Demonstrate flexibility, creativity and be an enthusiastic team member. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective networking and agency relations skills.

Physical Requirements Evening and weekend work will be required.
