Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, or a related field, or a combination of education and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Preference is given to candidates with 3-5 years of experience working with Métis or Indigenous communities in healthcare settings.

The Métis Patient Support Worker role supports Métis patients within hospital settings by promoting culturally safe care and helping individuals navigate complex healthcare systems. The position provides advocacy, emotional and practical support, and connections to Métis Nation–Saskatchewan programming and community resources. Métis Patient Support Workers will work closely with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, The First Nations and Métis Health Services Branch to improve the experience and outcomes for Métis individuals and families.
