The Public Health Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health risks for residents in the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. The role involves autonomous decision-making and providing consultation and support to various community professionals.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a valid RN registration with the CRNS, and a Class 5 driver's license. A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a public health nurse is required.

A Public Health Nurse (PHN) is accountable for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the health and health risks for people living in Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. A PHN's scope of practice requires a broad knowledge base and autonomous decision-making skills. A PHN also provides consultation and support to a wide array of professionals in the community. The Public Health Nurse works under the direction of the Manager of Public Health Nursing.
