About the role

The RCC provides intake assessments and treatment services for clients with various psychological and physical diagnoses. Responsibilities include psychological case management, treatment planning, and mentoring team members on psycho-social issues.

Our Rehabilitation Services team is seeking a personable and confident part time Registered Clinical Counselor to join us in our Abbotsford clinic! The RCC will be responsible for the provision of intake assessment and treatment services for clients with a variety of psychological and physical diagnoses.

This is a permanent full-time role however we are open to part-time as well. The RCC will primarily be treating clients in our Customized Recovery Return to Work Program. Our clinic is located at 34194 Marshall Road, Abbotsford.

  • Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day
  • Psychological assessment for treatment planning
  • Counselling/treatment/education
  • Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning
  • Quality reporting and communication
  • Orientation and mentoring to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psycho-social issues
  • Here’s what you’ll need to be successful
  • A graduate of a recognized School of Counselling
  • Registered member in good standing with BCACC
  • Experience with chronic pain, concussion and/or post traumatic stress disorder
  • Experience in Return to Work
  • A high degree of proficiency in problem solving and decision making
  • An ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
  • Effective communication skills toward consensus with clients, payers, and stakeholders

Salary Range

$40.00-$52.00 per hour

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of a recognized School of Counselling and a registered member in good standing with the BCACC. Experience with chronic pain, concussion, PTSD, and Return to Work programs is required.
