The Registered Nurse provides direct person-centered care by assessing, planning, and evaluating nursing interventions in various outpatient clinics. Responsibilities include teaching patients and families about illness management and collaborating with an interprofessional team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with current registration with the BCCNM and at least one year of related clinical experience. Some specializations may require additional experience in immunodeficiency and certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, and working collaboratively and in partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of person-centered care, the Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care and by teaching patients and families about illness management, prevention and treatment in an outpatient clinic setting of a designated clinical area such as Neurology, Asthma, Multiple Sclerosis, Oncology, Immunoglobulin Therapy.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One (1) year of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. May require: Two years recent, related experience in immunodeficiency and Hereditary Angiodema, IVIG/SCIG (Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin) and C1 Esterase Inhibitor administration, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. May require: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) May require: Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business related purposes.
