Right now we are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to work with our Surgical Inpatient Unit 10 East & West, Surgical Program.

Employment Status: Permanent Part TimeHours of Work: 8 or 12 hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights and/or weekends - subject to change as per Article 3 – Management Rights.Location: Humber River Health, Wilson SiteLabour Group: NOWUReporting Relationship: Manager, Surgical Inpatient 10 Unit East & WestHourly Rate: $38.893 - $39.458 Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for Registered Practical Nurse duties in on the Surgical Inpatient Unit.

Qualifications

Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program. Current Registered Practical Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current BCLS certification. Experience with patient health teaching. Demonstrate competency in a variety of skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy initiation and discontinuation, Blood Transfusion, Wound Care Dressing, Medication Administration, etc. Minimum 1 year acute surgical experience, preferred. Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset. Knowledge of community resources. Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. Requirements

Requires a diploma in Registered Practical Nursing, current CNO registration, and BCLS certification. A minimum of one year of acute surgical experience is preferred.
