Requires a Master's degree in nursing, registration as an RN (NP) with the CRNS, and at least 3 years of RN experience in specialized care areas. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and certifications including BCLS, PALS, ACLS, and CTAS training.

This position encompasses a Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) NP that may work in acute care, long term care, primary health care, continuing care, urgent care or the emergency room. The position will report to and work under the direction of a manager in one of the designated program areas. This position is responsible for assessment planning, delivery and evaluation of health care services to patients. The RN (NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based interventions, holism, health promotion, disease and injury prevention and the provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and acute and emergency services. The RN (NP) blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with their legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The practice involves working within the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies and procedures and building partnerships that support inter-professional collaboration.
