Provide emotional, cultural, and navigational support to class members applying for the Federal Indian Hospitals Settlement Agreement. This includes delivering workshops, facilitating referrals to community resources, and advocating for clients to ensure access to necessary services.
Requires post-secondary education in a human services field and at least 2 years of related experience in support or advocacy roles. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a clear criminal record check, and awareness of First Nation values and traditions.
Reporting to the Mental Health Program Manger, the Navigational Support Worker will provide support regarding “Federal Indian Hospitals (Hardy) Settlement Agreement”. This position will provide emotional and cultural support services to class members throughout the process of the Settlement Agreement. The program includes culturally appropriate and trauma-informed care to counsel individuals, families, and groups, or engage in prevention programs.
