The RN provides triage, assessment, and management for stable and unstable clients at the Collaborative Emergency Centre. They work collaboratively with paramedics, physicians, and nurse practitioners to deliver urgent and emergent care across the lifespan.
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a nursing diploma and registration with the CRNS or CRPNS. Mandatory certifications include CTAS, ACLS, and PALS, along with a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Reporting to the Primary Health Care Manager and in collaboration with the primary health care clinicians and team, this position supports effective relationships between the client and the health care team. This position works within the RN competencies as defined by the SRNA to assist in the triage, assessment, management and disposition of stable and unstable clients seeking care at the CEC primary care clinic. The RN is capable of working collaboratively within the PHC team to provide urgent / emergent care to patients across the lifespan. The responsibility for client management in a CEC is a shared responsibility between the RN, paramedic and the on-line physician. During the daytime CEC service the RN will collaborate with the local team, local MD, and local NP to provide client care. During the Night time CEC service, it is a requirement that the RN, in collaboration with the paramedic, will assess the patient in collaboration with the on-line physician.
