The Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides assessment, treatment, and crisis management for clients within the Mental Health and Addictions team. They deliver safe, family-centred, and trauma-informed care while participating in quality initiatives and collaborative planning.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Psychiatric Nursing and eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. A minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in Mental Health & Addictions and BLS-C certification are required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Psychiatric Nursing required Eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required Two (2) years recent clinical experience specific to Mental Health & Addictions BLS-C (HCP) Certification required Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCVI) required Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention Certification or willingness to obtain Experience in working with high risk clients Ability to work effectively in multiple software applications
