  • Type: Alternative Payment Arrangement Come work as a Locum Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Care about the social determinants of health and improving health equity? Come join us at REACH Urgent Care Centre. We are looking for family physicians locums who would like to join our innovative team-based care at our REACH Urgent and Primary Care Centre. Providers will be expected to see a range of acute primary care problems ranging from minor procedures to acute psychiatric/substance withdrawal scenarios. Our clinic serves a diverse patient population from around the world. We are looking for practitioners practicing through a trauma-informed, culturally safe lens. It is important that the provider be willing and interested in working collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team; be committed to the goal of improving the health of people in the community; and be aligned with REACH values and mission. This role is accountable to the Medical Director and the Executive Director. The health care team in the REACH UPCC includes physicians, nurse practitioners, advanced practice RN's, social workers and friendly support staff. Shift times vary from 4 to 9 hr shifts. Our clinic is open from 8AM-10PM every day except Sundays is 8AM-5PM. Locums can pick up as many shifts as they choose, we usually expect our casual locums to pick up at least 1 shift/month.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Desired Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Mandatory Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine – Desired Emergency Experience - Desired Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL) – Desired Closing Statement Interested in applying? Requirements

Must be a CCFP certified family physician with full CPSBC licensure and CMPA coverage. Desired qualifications include ACLS, PALS, and experience in emergency medicine.
