The role serves as a primary point of access for individuals experiencing homelessness, focusing on eligibility screening and system navigation. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, coordinating referrals to housing and health supports, and collaborating with community partners.
Requires an undergraduate degree or diploma in human services or equivalent lived experience. Candidates must have experience working with individuals in crisis and possess a valid Alberta driver's license with a vehicle.

Generally, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m., with weekly offsite works.

Distress Centre Calgary (DCC) delivers the Coordinated Entry Program (CEP) at Journey Church Day Space, providing intake, assessment, and referral services that connect participants to housing and other essential supports. CEP staff focus on system navigation and coordinated service delivery, including applications, referrals, and follow-up.
Distress Centre Calgary (DCC) delivers the Coordinated Entry Program (CEP) within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary service environment. CEP provides housing assessment, system navigation, and coordinated referrals, connecting individuals and families to housing, income, health, justice, and community supports. Staff work collaboratively across programs and partner agencies to respond to complex needs, facilitate warm transfers, and support continuity of care beyond initial intake.
What to Expect
The Housing & Systems Navigator is a primary point of access for individuals and families engaging with the Coordinated Entry Program at SORCe. Reporting to CEP Team Lead, this role focuses on early engagement, eligibility screening, CAA assessment, and system navigation to support people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to identify appropriate housing and support pathways.
