Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic data, therapeutic intervention, and ensures the safe and appropriate application of a variety of respiratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Education, Training And Experience Graduate of a recognised Respiratory Therapy program. Eligible for registered membership in the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT). Life Support "C" Certificate required, Instructor's Certificate preferred. Skills And Abilities
