Schedule

  • Monday to
  • Thursday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Includes working one evening a week until 7:30 pm
  • Fridays will be added late fall 2026

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $24.00 - $30.00/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Compensation for this role is also flexible and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.

Please note that this is a replacement job opening.

Your Role

  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
  • Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
  • Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
  • Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
  • Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
  • Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
  • Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
  • Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps
  • Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
  • Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations

About You

  • Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
  • Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
