Counsel and educate clients on animal care, medications, and preventative healthcare under veterinary supervision. Greet, handle, and treat animals to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required. Candidates must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. Weekend coverage is needed for this position. Veterinary Assistant experience is required. We are looking for someone who can work Saturdays and Sundays. Why Join VetCare?
