The Veterinary Assistant provides client education on animal care, medications, and preventative health under professional supervision. They are also responsible for the safe handling and treatment of animals and assisting with laboratory procedures.

About the Role

Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. Weekend coverage is needed for this position. Veterinary Assistant experience is required. We are looking for someone who can work Saturdays and Sundays. Why Join VetCare? Requirements

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required. Candidates must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
