Provide standardized and functional assessment, evaluation and treatment in managing cognitive difficulties resulting from Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), stroke or other conditions within the Inpatient Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) and the Outpatient Neurological Services.
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, Intensive Rehabilitation Unit.
1.
Minimum of a Ph.D. in Clinical or Rehabilitation Psychology, from an accredited university.
2.
Current Certificate of Registration as a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) is required.
3.
Successful completion of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)/American Psychological Association’s (APA) accredited programs is preferred.
4.
Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
1. Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant clinical experience working within a health care environment, preferably in Rehabilitation. 2. Experience in motivational interviewing is preferred.
