The Opportunity
The TMS Technician plays a key clinical support role in the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services. Working under the direction of the clinical team, TMS Technicians are responsible for delivering treatment protocols, monitoring patient safety, supporting therapeutic care, and ensuring accurate documentation and smooth daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
- TMS Treatment & Delivery
- Conduct rTMS treatments according to established clinical protocols
- Perform qEEG recordings in alignment with clinic standards
- Monitor patients during TMS sessions to ensure safety, comfort, and treatment efficacy
- Patient Monitoring & Support
- Provide ongoing observation of patients throughout treatment sessions, identifying and escalating concerns as needed
- Build rapport with clients and conduct regular check-ins regarding mood, functioning, and treatment experience
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and patient-centred treatment environment at all times
- Clinical Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Act as a primary support to the Registered Nurse, receiving and executing delegated clinical tasks
- Accurately document all treatment sessions and clinical observations in the medical record system
- Communicate changes, concerns, or relevant patient updates to the clinical team in a timely manner
- Clinical Operations & Support
- Perform phlebotomy as required within scope of practice and training
- Maintain medical inventory and assist with clinic supply management
- Support day-to-day clinic flow, equipment readiness, and operational organization
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to support evolving clinical needs
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in a clinical, mental health, or outpatient setting considered an asset
- Phlebotomy training/experience considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and support patients
- Excellent attention to detail and strong clinical documentation skills
- Strong communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to observe, escalate concerns, and follow clinical protocols appropriately
- Professional, reliable, and committed to patient safety and confidentiality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Willingness to complete ongoing training in TMS
