The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients in the Operating Room, performing both scrubbing and circulating duties. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care with physicians, and maintaining a safe surgical environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with current registration with the BCCNM. A minimum of one year of recent relevant clinical nursing experience in a surgical area is required.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse (RN), O.R. provides direct nursing care to patients within the Operating Room (OR) according to established standards and administrative policies and procedures. Assesses patients physical and psycho-social needs; identifies problems, plans, implements, documents, evaluates and coordinates the nursing care of assigned patients and performs scrubbing and circulating duties.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One (1) year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, and completion of post graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
