Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative individual for the position of Dietitian to deliver nutrition therapy and provide services based on standards of quality and evidence-based practice to Outpatient Pediatric Services including, Pediatric Obesity, Hyperlipidemia, Feeding, Complex Care, Diabetes and Nutritional Counselling Clinics
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, from an accredited university. Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and successful completion of a Dietetic Internship Program is required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a hospital setting or other similar health care environment and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatric nutrition care, in addition to one (1) year experience working with pediatric diabetes.
Candidates that possess experience in providing enteral and parenteral nutrition support and experience working with children across all age ranges, from pre-term to adolescents are preferred.
Pediatric Outpatient Services, formally known as Pediatric Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), is an outpatient unit that provides services to children from 0-18 years. The clinics are led by NEO Kids Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, or visiting specialists. Many of the clinics have the support of additional team members such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dieticians, and social workers.
