Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, the Oncology Nurse assesses, plans, provides and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients/clients in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Education, Training And Experience Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant; BC Cancer Systemic Therapy certification and two (2) years' recent, related experience. Basic Life Support, Level C. Certification in Oncology Nursing from The Canadian Nurses Associations (CNA) would be considered an asset. Skills And Abilities
