Provides a complete range of orthopedic technology services for pediatric and adult patients under the direction of Orthopedic Surgeons. Performs clinical duties within the Fracture Clinic and other designated clinical areas.
Requires a Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technology Certificate as an Advanced Registered Orthopaedic Technologist. A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Orthopaedic Technologist is required.
Under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeons and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, the Registered Orthopedic Technologist provides a complete range of orthopedic technology services. The Registered Orthopedic Technologist performs skills related to the care of a diverse population of patients, pediatric and adult, requiring the services of orthopedic surgery. Performs other assigned duties in the Fracture Clinic and other Clinical areas.
Registered with Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technology Certificate as Advanced Registered Orthopaedic Technologist Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Orthopaedic Technologist Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, make recommendations and implement action plans Demonstrated computer skills Self-motivated and the ability to prioritize tasks Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal including ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions Ability to work effectively with the interdisciplinary team Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment
