Open Until FilledAbout the Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Assistive Technology, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team the Certified Orthotist provides a diverse range of clinical interventions to a pediatric and adult population. Essential components of this position include a high degree of expertise in decision-making, creativity, interpersonal skills and professional development. The Certified Orthotist provides clinical leadership particularly in complex cases and has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence informed care. The dynamic environment requires the Certified Orthotist to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other health care professionals to solve challenging clinical issues. The Certified Orthotist supports the development of students and colleagues through acting as a preceptor and providing ongoing mentorship. The Certified Orthotist will attend clinics, rounds, conference and meetings as required and provide supervision and evaluation of students and/or residents and interns. The Orthotist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio within a seven day service.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Must hold title of Certified Orthotist from Orthotics Prosthetics Canada 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in a hospital setting, preferred Demonstrated ability to set priorities and work independently Excellent communication, observation and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team setting Demonstrated ability to critically analyze assessment data and identify treatment needs focusing on a patient-centered approach Understanding of Privacy legislation and commitment to the protection of personal health information Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly Compensation and Benefits $48.33 - $55.62 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Requirements
