Job Description

As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the Early Psychosis Intervention Program multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness and substance abuse issues. These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.

  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing or an acceptable nursing diploma and three years of experience in Mental Health. Candidates must hold a valid Class 5 driver's license and be registered with the CRPNS or CRNS.
