The Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including cleaning, X-rays, and orthodontic appliance maintenance. They are responsible for educating patients on oral health and maintaining accurate clinical records while collaborating with the orthodontic team.
Candidates must hold a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree and be registered with the provincial regulatory authority. At least two years of experience is preferred, along with current CPR and First Aid certification.

Key Responsibilities: Providing patient care and support in an enthusiastic way, building a personal connection at every visit. Ensures that patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goal for comprehensive oral health. Desire to help, educate and improve our patients’ lives. Collect patient’s dental and relevant medical history, to reference during examinations. Prepare patients for the Orthodontist. Preparing patient and equipment for X-Rays Taking X-Rays and following all safety procedures as required Examine gums for infections or gum disease. Clean patient’s teeth to remove plague, polish, floss and brush. Bonding and removal of brackets and orthodontic appliances Placing and removing arch wires Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress. Updating patient records and examination notes Perform all lab duties/requirements as instructed by the Orthodontist or leadership team. Prepare and maintain all dental instruments, supplies and equipment. Call patients for aftercare and answer questions Travel to satellite locations if/when necessary Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation. Possess great energy for a fast-paced environment.
2+ years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required. Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program. Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within province, in good standing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. Great time management and organizational skills. Experience in an orthodontic office is preferred but not required. Current CPR and First Aid training.
