Provide high-quality veterinary care including routine surgery, dental procedures, and general medicine for small animals. Collaborate with a large support staff and fellow veterinarians to ensure excellent patient outcomes and client satisfaction.

Veterinarian – Animal Medical Centre North Welcome to Animal Medical Center North, a shining light in Northern Albertan veterinary medicine!

Come and see what our clinic has to offer - we have a large group of competent veterinarians and support staff, a modern variety of diagnostic, surgical and dental equipment, flexible scheduling and a healthy respect for work life balance.

Our clinic boasts a large support staff with the goal of making life easier for our DVMs.

We have a high ratio of RVTs to DVMs which allows our doctors the time they need to focus on the important stuff.

You will be pleasantly surprised with the ability of our technicians and tech assistants to streamline your workload.

We even have a certified canine rehab tech (CCRP) to help you with those tough IVDD and OA cases!

Our clinic has opportunities for everyone.

If you are interested in routine surgery, dental procedures, or even orthopedic surgery we have the facilities and equipment to make you feel at home.

If you are interests are more in line with general medicine and wellness focused practice, we have what need to succeed: up-to-date X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, laser, rehab equipment and more.

We are seriously flexible.

Even if you don’t live in the area, we can accommodate a rotating schedule with a week off to several weeks off between shifts.

If you’re an avid traveler, have commitments in other parts of the world or just like having large chunks of time off we are happy to accommodate!

At AMCN we know that work life balance is a real thing, not just a catch phrase.

Being in a Northern community our clinic has some on-call….

BUT… we share call with 3 other clinics!

After hours work is generously compensated for and you are always accompanied by one of our wonderful RVTs.

DVMs may have no on call nights a month to a maximum of 3 - 4 call nights per month based on YOUR comfort level.
