The psychiatrist will co-facilitate a weekly in-person CBT ERP group for patients with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. They will provide medical oversight, clinical leadership, and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress within an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold a Medical Degree, be eligible for licensure with the CPSBC, and possess specialist qualifications in Psychiatry (FRCPC or equivalent). Experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and group facilitation for OCD is required.
Education, Licensing, & Experience: A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) – Eligible Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or equivalent Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory Experience: Demonstrated training and experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), specifically in group facilitation for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Proven experience working with patients with OCD in a mental health setting. Experience in an interdisciplinary mental health team environment. Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
