The Health Care Aide provides direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse. They also contribute to the development of nursing care plans by observing and reporting changes in resident status.
Candidates must have a Health Care Aide certificate or equivalent with at least 500 hours of theory and practicum. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring are required.
