Performs electroneurophysiological tests such as EEG and monitors patients during carotid endarterectomy procedures in the operating room. Maintains equipment, manages inventory, and formulates preliminary technical reports for neurologists.
Requires graduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology and at least one year of recent related experience. Candidates must be eligible for registration with CBRET or BRETC.
The salary range for this position is CAD $38.93 - $48.59 / hour Job Summary
Performs various electroneurophysiological tests including EEG tests and Recording for Carotid Endarterectomy; evaluates test results and provides test information for interpretation by the medical staff. Performs supply and equipment maintenance, maintains procedure manual and workload measurement statistics/information.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Eligible for registration with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CBRET) and/or the Board of Registered Electromyography Technologists of Canada (BRETC).
