Hawker Memorial Hospital is a 13-bed facility, including 4 acute beds and 9 aged care beds, proudly serving the Flinders Ranges region as part of the Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). We provide essential healthcare services including accident and emergency care, general medical care, palliative care, and a range of visiting allied health services. About the Role

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will provide person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care, assessing individual needs and planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate services to achieve positive outcomes. You will work with increasing autonomy while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and other agencies to deliver safe, effective care.

In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement activities, support care coordination, and provide team leadership as required. You will also play an active role in health education, support the development of students and new staff, and contribute to research and evidence-based practice. As your experience grows, you will provide guidance to less experienced staff and support safe, high-quality care delivery across the service.

About You

  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
