The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical assessment, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe pharmaceuticals for acute and chronic conditions. They will also engage in health promotion, disease prevention, and community-based partnerships within an inter-professional framework.
Candidates must hold a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree and possess at least three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse. Additionally, they must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).

Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations.
