Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse. Additionally, a Master of Nurse Practitioner degree and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Specialization are required.

Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities.
