The physiotherapist assesses, plans, and implements treatment programs for patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary health care team. They also delegate tasks to assistants, educate families, and maintain clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
Candidates must be graduates of a recognized physiotherapy program from an accredited university. They are required to hold current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
The salary range for this position is CAD $45.15 - $56.17 / hour Job Summary
Under general direction of the Professional Practice Chief, Physiotherapy, the Physiotherapist assesses, plans, implements, and monitors physiotherapy treatment to patients/residents. Delegates components of treatment to Assistants/Aides. As part of the interdisciplinary team, acts as a resource on issues relating to areas of physiotherapy expertise. Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical physiotherapy practice, including philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement and risk management of the physiotherapy services.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduate of a recognized program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).
