The Radiological Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety and adherence to radiation protection standards. They are responsible for operating imaging equipment, maintaining accurate records in the Radiology Information System, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
Candidates must hold a professional certification with the CAMRT. The role requires demonstrated knowledge of medical imaging equipment, PACS/RIS systems, and the ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
The salary range for this position is CAD $38.93 - $48.59 / hour Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, Radiological Technology and the Site Coordinator, Medical Imaging, the Radiological Technologist, practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as utilizing a client and family centered care model and the vision and values of the department within Fraser Health (FH). The Radiological Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic/fluoroscopic and medical imaging procedures/techniques and related duties, observing safe radiation protection practices. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS), preparing patients for examination, operating radiographic and computerized imaging equipment including processing radiographs and archiving of acquired data, monitoring patient during procedures, monitoring equipment performance and maintaining cleanliness of examination rooms.
Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience
Certification with the CAMRT.
