Provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of communication and swallowing disorders. Collaborates with other professionals and provides education to students, staff, and patients.
Requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM). Candidates must also pass criminal and abuse registry background checks.

ASAP FTE: 0.90 Anticipated Shift: Days;Weekends Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 7.75 Annual Base Hours: 2015 Salary: $53.282, $55.331, $57.389, $59.579, $61.973, $64.385 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Provides quality Speech-Language Pathology services, consistent with discipline and professional standards, including: prevention, identification, evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, counselling, treatment, management and education of communication and swallowing disorders; education and supervision of students and professionals; consultation with and referral to other professionals; and research. Maintains professional accountability, professional judgment and reasoning with a high-level of communication and collaboration. Experience Previous experience with relevant population is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited/recognized university is required. Completion of, and ongoing participation in relevant courses, workshops, etc., to address continuing education requirements of CASLPM and specialization required for service provision.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Must be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM). Membership in other professional organizations is encouraged; for example, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Physical Requirements May be required to work extended hours. May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress, etc. May encounter aggressive and/or agitated clients/staff/visitors.
