Job Description

Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program Licenses Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant Competencies Advanced - Analytical skills Advanced - Technical skills Intermediate - Computer skills Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Ability to work independently Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety Other Information HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria Standby may be required.
