Physician Assistants practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician, collecting and interpreting medical information, making clinical decisions, and carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as approved by the CPSS. They are expected to exemplify ethical practices, professionalism, and commitment to patient and family-centered care.
Candidates must have completed an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC and must hold or be eligible for licensure with the CPSS, typically requiring PA-C certification through NCCPA or CCPA through PACCC. Clinical experience working as a PA in a related field is considered an asset.

Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.
