The Health Care Aide collaborates with the care team, under LPN supervision, to provide safe and thorough basic care and services to residents, focusing on resident-centered support. Responsibilities include observing residents for status changes during personal care and reporting findings to the Staff Nurse to contribute to the Nursing Care Plan.
Candidates must be graduates of a Health Care Aide program (or provincial equivalent with a minimum of 500 hours of theory and practicum) and have experience working with seniors in a community health setting. Essential requirements include strong communication, organizational skills, demonstrated personal care knowledge, and the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
