Candidates must hold a diploma in dental hygiene and be registered or licensed with the appropriate provincial regulatory authority (OHDQ), along with holding valid CPR certification. Being bilingual in French and English is considered a strong asset, and applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Assess, plan and appropriately implement patient care services. Perform all preventive clinical hygiene services with patients, including scaling, planing, polishing, topical fluoride application, pit and fissure sealants and teeth whitening. Be an oral health educator by introducing new prevention and counseling techniques. Provide a consistent patient experience during dental hygiene visits. Build strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behavior. Build patient loyalty by providing a customized experience that meets patient expectations. Demonstrate patient listening skills and empathy using effective communication techniques.
Hold a diploma in dental hygiene. Registered and/or licensed in good standing with an appropriate provincial dental hygiene regulatory authority (OHDQ). Hold valid CPR certification.
