The Nurse Practitioner provides advanced practice nursing, blending in-depth nursing knowledge with the authority to order tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform procedures for managing acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. This role involves practicing within an evidence-based primary care framework, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities.
Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree and hold or be eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN (NP), along with ACLS and BLS-C certifications. Preferred experience includes three years as a Registered Nurse and experience as an RN (NP) in a Primary Health Care setting, plus access to a reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver's license.
