The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services, including assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan development, intervention, and patient education, adhering to professional standards and collaborating with the interprofessional care team. Responsibilities also involve evaluating intervention effectiveness, maintaining patient records, delegating tasks to assistants, and participating in research and quality improvement activities.
Candidates must possess current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and demonstrate knowledge of occupational therapy theory, practice standards, and standardized tests. Essential abilities include effective communication, teaching skills, the capacity to work independently and collaboratively, workload prioritization, and basic knowledge of research methodology.
The salary range for this position is CAD $45.15 - $56.17 / hour Job Summary
Provides occupational therapy services in accordance with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC standards of practice, Fraser Health mission, values and occupational therapy acute care standard, and in collaboration and partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of patient and family centered care. Provides assessment, occupational therapy diagnosis and prognosis, treatment plan and intervention development, implementation and evaluation, and patient consultation and education to enable the patient to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. Participates in approved occupational therapy and interprofessional research, special projects, and program quality and safety activities.

Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
