The incumbent performs various clerical tasks and serves as a communication link for the unit while working within a multidisciplinary team under supervision. Responsibilities also include performing tasks related to patient care and comfort, as well as routine domestic tasks to maintain area cleanliness.
Candidates must have completed high school and successfully finished both the Health Care Aide and Unit Clerk programs, along with maintaining current CPR training. Essential qualifications include the ability to speak French at a predetermined level, excellent command of English, basic keyboarding skills (30-50 WPM), and the ability to handle physical activity in a stressful environment.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
