The Personal Support Worker performs various personal care services under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to meet client needs, including assistance with personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation. Responsibilities also encompass light housekeeping, accompanying clients on outings, shopping, medication reminders, ambulation, transporting clients, and providing companionship.
Candidates must possess a Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent, such as being a foreign-trained nurse or nursing student. Required qualifications also include current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain it, a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray, and access to the internet and a mobile phone.
