  • Competitive wages About the Job Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
  • Assesses, plans, implements and provides nursing care to patients/clients receiving hemodialysis
  • Provides practical nursing services during the pre-dialysis, intra-dialysis and post-dialysis periods
  • Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols. This is a Relief Part Time (0.85) opportunity until July 31, 2026, or the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled days rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, hours. Qualfications
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses with the full range of current licensed practical nursing competencies, and successful completion of a Health Authority Hemodialysis Training program plus one (1) year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practice Nurse in acute care, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Current CPR certification required

Requirements

Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.

Successful completion of a Health Authority Hemodialysis Training program.

One (1) year recent related experience working as a Licensed Practice Nurse in acute care.

Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current CPR certification
